Zwelethu Mthethwa è un artista e fotografo sudafricano nato nel 1960 a Durban. Ha studiato belle arti e si è laureato all'Università di Città del Capo, conseguendo poi nel 1989 un Master in Arte presso il Rochester Insitute of Technology, negli Stati Uniti.
