L'artista australiana Sarah Hickey nel 1997 ha conseguito una laurea in arti visive in belle arti presso il Queensland College of Art, Griffith University e nel 2002 un Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education, presso la stessa Università. Ha tenuto molte mostre personali ed ha partecipato a oltre trenta mostre collettive.
